Recognized for its stunning aesthetic beauty, this piece of art presented a challenge that I contemplated for a long time. Every night, before going to sleep, I envisioned each part of it in my mind.
The process of creating it was slow, but the most time-consuming decision was how to embroider its spadix; I wanted it to look incredibly realistic. The green tones of the threads used for the leaves give them a natural appearance, while the meticulous work dedicated to the spathe resulted in a delicately refined look.
This piece is hand-embroidered using only wire and thread.
The time spent creating this artwork was 117 hours.
It comes housed in a bell jar with a felt base, signed with sewing thread.
